Our range of Chapel Down wines have been growing in popularity in recent years and we can now be found in many of the UK's top bars, restaurants and wine stores as well as being exported to Paris, Tokyo and Hong Kong. We are of course served at many of London's top stores, restaurants and bars - Fortnum and Mason, Selfridges, Gordon Ramsay, Gary Rhodes, D&D restaurants, The Savoy, Brian Turner , Roast and many others as we continue to win International Awards. A wine tasting evening is the perfect way to find out more about the quality and style of English wines available today.
We regularly host wine tasting evenings for corporate clients, wine clubs and social groups throughout SE England. We can offer a highly flexible and entertaining talk and tasting evening with the format tailored to suit the requirements of the specific audience.
One of our experienced members of the team will guide the audience through an entertaining and informative history of wines in England, the place of Chapel Down today within the English Wines Industry and its rise to prominence on the world stage. We realise that some groups appreciate a more technical approach, so if requested we can also cover the more technical areas of viticulture and oenology.
We will then take your group through a tutored tasting of our most premium wines to showcase the best in English Winemaking. We will usually sample approximately 5 or 6 wines including our Award-winning sparkling wines. The selection can be tailored to your wishes. We can even add our fantastic beers to the tasting at the end. All guests who attend one of our wine tastings will be offered the opportunity at the end of the evening to purchase wines at special offer prices.
Most groups like to keep the evening fun and informal and we can also offer a wine quiz or a demonstration of the art of sabrage (removing a cork from the sparkling wine with a sword) toward the end of the evening dependent on group size. Another optional extra is for us to provide a selection of English Cheeses and other specialities from our winery shop down in Tenterden, which marry well with the wines.
We are happy to come out to your own venue or, to make the experience even more unique, why not come to the home of English Wine at our vineyard in Tenterden. Here the tasting event can also include the additional benefits of a tour round the vineyard and winery and we can also even offer tank and barrel tastings and tutored food and wine matching with Richard Phillip's team at the most premium end of the scale.
We can accommodate any size of group at your preferred venue and should you wish to hold the function here at Tenterden we can comfortably accommodate groups of between 10 and 80.
Costs are entirely dependent on the format of the evening and the size of your group.
