The Chapel Down Wine and Fine Food Store

After an ambitious refurbishment project lasting 5 months and representing an investment of half a million pounds, the new look Chapel Down winery and Fine Food store was re-opened to the public in time for the St. George’s Day weekend in 2005..

The magnificent building is clad in oak and finished in galvanised steel to replicate the materials used in the making of wine. It features a large fine food shop stocking only the finest English and British fare and seasonal local produce. Upstairs is a stylish restaurant and wine bar with a south-facing sun terrace overlooking the beautiful vineyards and herb garden. The vision of the project was to create a landmark site worthy of England’s leading premium wine producer.

The store sells the full range of Chapel Down wines and has a dedicated tasting room behind the main sales area for groups or individual tastings. As well as wines, the store sells a wide range of high quality, English produce from carefully selected suppliers, including over 30 British cheeses, teas, hand-made chocolates, smoked meat and game, ice cream, chutneys, pies and much more.

It is very important to us that all our products are sourced locally wherever possible and that all our fresh produce is only stocked when in season to offer our customers the very best flavours England can offer at the right time of year.
