Our Vineyard
At Chapel Down we source grapes from vineyards all over the South East of England, from Sussex, Kent and Essex.

We believe that good winemaking starts in the vineyard. We impose the highest quality standards on our growers to deliver ripe and clean fruit and always quality control the grapes when they arrive at our winery during the harvest period. Only the very best fruit will be selected to go into Chapel Down Wines. The range and variety of grapes (from Bacchus to Pinot Noir) grown on the chalk downs or Essex clays, produce unique and exiting wines that you won’t taste anywhere else. These varieties have a potential that is now truly being realised in England.

As well as sourcing grapes from over 180 acres over the South East, we also have our own Vineyard here at Tenterden that extends over 25 acres.
